There have been some teething problems with the introduction of CCS to the G4KLX D-Star gateway controller software.

Jonanthan G4KLX has addressed most of the issues that have arisen through beta releases and these have been applied to GB7HU as soon as they have been made available for download.

However, as with all beta releases, they are not fully tested or proven so please bear with us if you find GB7HU misbehaving in a strange way!

How are things on HU now, it strange that new technology adopted to make things easier usually adds a new unwanted dimension to repeaters, remembers the old days before computer aided repeaters, 73s.

The software is remarkably stable now and needs little intervention. Since my last post on this subject the software has been upgraded at least three times, each adding further functionality, and all have worked without any problems. At least this G4KLX software is being actively developed and maintained for the benefit of all users whereas the original Icom software has not moved forward in almost 10 years.

Nice to hear it, Its ICOM that gives D-STAR bad press, is the dual mode Analogue/D-star repeater version by G4KLX anywhere near stable, have you any experience of it,

I don't know much about the dual mode set up. It's in use on the 2m dual mode in Derbyshire on 145.6375MHz and it seems to be OK. Have a look at http://www.gb3in.co.uk
